Trust is designed, not claimed.
Buildpal handles the things that matter most on a site: who a worker is, whether they were there, and getting them paid. This is how we protect them, and how you can check it for yourself.
- Worker identity
- Attendance
- Payments
- Project data
Every promise, and how you can check it.
Trust shouldn't rest on our word. Each commitment comes with the concrete thing that backs it.
Workers own their data.
How you can check itA worker controls their own profile and consents to what's shared, and that consent can be withdrawn.
Sensitive details stay hidden.
How you can check itID numbers and payout numbers are masked everywhere they appear on the platform.
Everyone sees only what their job needs.
How you can check itAccess is role-based: site teams get their work, commercial data stays with commercial users, and stakeholders see only what's shared with them.
A reputation you can trust, and correct.
How you can check itIt's built from verified attendance and ratings on a rolling window, and a wrong record can be disputed and fixed.
You're paid for what was recorded.
How you can check itPay comes from taps at the gate and the contractor's approval, a worker can see their money at every stage, and payouts run on a schedule, not a favour.
We only claim what's true.
How you can check itWe publish certifications only once we genuinely hold them, and we name Rwanda as our first market rather than implying more.
What Buildpal will never do.
Trust is built as much by what we refuse to do. These are lines we don't cross.
Sell worker data.
It exists to serve the worker and the jobs they consent to, and nothing more.
Charge a worker to be found.
Workers are never charged to be seen or matched for work.
Claim a badge we haven't earned.
We publish a certification or standard only once we genuinely hold it.
Let a payment quietly fail.
If a payout fails, the worker sees why, and the money returns to their wallet.
Let an unfair rating stand.
Abusive, personal, or retaliatory reviews are removed, not averaged into a worker's record.
Imply a partnership that isn't real.
We describe only agreements that genuinely exist.
Why workers and contractors trust Buildpal.
- Your profile, record, and reputation belong to you and travel with you.
- You're paid for the days you were actually there, and you can see your money the whole way.
- A wrong record or rating has a clear, fair way to be put right.
- It works on any phone, so you're never shut out for not having a smartphone.
- Every worker's identity and trade are checked before they reach your gate.
- Attendance is recorded at the gate, so you pay for who was really there.
- Worker data is handled with consent and clear limits, so working with Buildpal is safe.
- Disputes are settled against a clear record, not two people's memory.
A reputation that can't be gamed, and can be fixed.
Reputation decides how workers are matched and paid, so it has to be fair. This is how we keep it that way.
Recent, not permanent
Reputation runs on a rolling window, so a bad month fades over time, and so does a good one.
Earned before it moves
A short record is held toward the middle, so a few good days can't shoot someone to the top, and one bad day can't sink them.
No silent penalties
A tier can't swing week to week, and changes are tied to records, not hidden judgments.
A way to be heard
Ratings go through moderation, and a worker can dispute one they believe is wrong.
Earned, not claimed.
We protect identity, attendance, and payment data with least-privilege access and careful handling. We're still early, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than overstate it.
Built toward standards
We're designing to recognized data-protection practices from the start.
Published when earned
We'll show certifications only once we genuinely hold them.
Consent at the core
Worker consent and clear limits underpin everything on the roadmap.
Data and trust questions.
No. Worker data exists to serve the worker and the jobs they consent to. We do not sell personal data.
The worker. They own it, choose what's shared, and can withdraw consent. Sensitive details like ID and payout numbers are masked wherever they're shown.
Yes. Attendance and reputation include a clear way to dispute and fix genuine mistakes, and unfair ratings are removed rather than counted.
We're building toward recognized standards and will publish certifications only once they're genuinely earned. We won't claim badges we don't hold.
From attendance recorded at the gate and the contractor's approval, into a wallet to withdraw to mobile money. Payouts run on a schedule, and a worker can see their money at every stage.
Trust, built to be checked.
