Rating workers fairly, and disputes

Your ratings shape workers' reputations. Here is how to rate well, how disputes work, and why one rating never defines anyone.

A worker's reputation is built from reliability, the quality of their work and their attendance. Your rating is one part of it, so it's worth getting right.

  1. Rate reliability and quality

Rate how reliably the worker turned up and how good the work was. Attendance comes from the gate record, so you don't rate it yourself.

  2. Keep it about the work

Leave out anything personal. Reviews that are abusive, personal or retaliatory are removed, not averaged in.

  3. How disputes are handled

A worker can dispute a rating. The dispute goes to moderation, which checks it against the record.

  4. Why ratings fade

Reputation runs on a rolling window: recent work counts most, and a bad month fades over time, as a good one does. Tiers also move carefully, so they don't jump up and down week to week.
